Since their beginning, The Grooves have become a favorite of Texas bands, performing all styles of music to rave audiences all over the world. The Grooves' show is an exciting combination of classic rock, Motown, oldies, disco, rock and roll, country, standards, swing, eighties dance, plus all the most up to date dance music. The Grooves can also transform themselves into a seventies disco show band to turn your party into a disco dance extravaganza! The Grooves specialize in wedding receptions and can make your special day a smashing success! We emcee for all events at the reception including announcing of bride and groom, best man toast, bouquet and garter toss, cutting of the cake and any special events you may have planned. If all guests will be eating dinner during our first set, we will play some nice mellow music that people can dance to if they prefer, but it won’t be too loud so that guests can still eat and converse comfortably. We play over a four hour period, which consists of three one hour sets with two half hour breaks during which you will be doing various wedding activities (cutting cake, bouquet toss, etc.). We also can play overtime if desired. We DJ music on our breaks as well, to keep the party momentum going.

We have over 250 songs that we can choose from, to match any style to whatever crowd we are playing for which is a much larger selection than most wedding bands have. We play all styles, including standards for the older folks (Sinatra, Nat King Cole, etc.), Motown, Disco, oldies, rock, current dance, country if the crowd is into it, Eighties, and Nineties to the new millennium changing styles to please the crowd and keep the dance floor packed all night. We can wear tuxedos or add hilarious costumes later in the night to guarantee an outrageous extravaganza at your reception!
